HYDERABAD: The state government has directed that all contract and outsourcing staff under the health department receive their salaries on the first day of every month. For the first time, salaries of contract, outsourcing and honorarium‑based employees are being credited directly into bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), making the process more transparent and efficient.
Officials said the system came into effect this month and salaries have already been credited to most employees. For about 1,700 staff under the Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (TVVP), payments are scheduled for Monday due to minor technical issues during rollout. Finance clearance has been given and TVVP officials confirmed arrangements are complete.
