Director-General, fire service, Vikram Singh Mann said the inspection was conducted following a recent spate of fire accidents across the state, some of which resulted in loss of life and property.
Hyderabad:The fire services cancelled the Fire no-objection certificate (NOC) issued to Niloufer Cafe on Road No. 12, Banjara Hills, after officials allegedly found multiple violations of fire safety licence conditions during a surprise inspection.
Director-General, fire service, Vikram Singh Mann said the inspection was conducted following a recent spate of fire accidents across the state, some of which resulted in loss of life and property. Acting on information received, officers of the fire services department carried out a surprise inspection at the commercial building housing Niloufer Cafe, bearing municipal number 8-2-682/P2, P3 in Banjara Hills.
During the inspection, officials found several irregularities and violations of fire licence norms. Authorities alleged that the establishment was operating a full-fledged restaurant above the fourth floor without required permissions, in violation of prescribed fire safety conditions.
Taking serious note of the findings and citing imminent danger to human life and property, DG Mann cancelled the fire NOC granted to the establishment. Officials said the action was initiated based on the inspection report and concerns over safety risks posed by the violations.
The fire services department stressed that strict compliance with fire safety regulations is essential, particularly in commercial establishments frequented by large numbers of people. The DG urged citizens and business owners to follow fire precautionary measures and ensure compliance with safety norms.
Mann cautioned licence holders against violating conditions, warning that strict action would be taken in cases of deviation. The department reiterated that ensuring fire safety remains a priority to prevent avoidable mishaps and protect lives and property.
