Nampally Police Reconstruct Advocate Murder During Accused Custody
During the two-day custody, police reconstructed the crime scene as part of efforts to piece together the sequence of events leading to the murder.
Hyderabad:Nampally police probing the murder of High Court advocate and Wakf activist Khaja Moizuddin on May 23 on Friday completed the two-day custodial interrogation of the three accused, including prime accused Mujahid Alam Khan, after a local court granted permission for questioning them. The accused were produced before the court on Friday and sent back to judicial custody.
Police officials said Alam Khan, first accused, along with his associates Abhijeet and Kishan were questioned extensively to gather further evidence in the murder case. Mujahid Alam Khan being the alleged prime conspirator, Kishan was assigned the contract to execute the murder. Abhijeet allegedly drove the vehicle that was used to hit the advocate, resulting in his death. The duo also purchased a car in December 2025 which was used to commit the offence.
During the two-day custody, police reconstructed the crime scene as part of efforts to piece together the sequence of events leading to the murder. The accused were taken to locations connected to the crime to verify their movements, establish timelines and corroborate evidence collected during the investigation.
Police also explored possible leads regarding the conspiracy, motive and planning behind the murder. The teams examined the communication between the accused, their movements before and after the incident ad any financial transactions or links that could strengthen the case. Sources said confession statements of the accused were recorded to ascertain the specific role played by each individual in the crime.
Officials said further investigation is underway to establish whether more persons were involved in the conspiracy and if additional evidence emerges from the interrogation.
