CMC Processes 783 Kg of Religious Waste
CMC processed 783 kg of religious waste through its Divine Waste Drive and collected 191 bulky household items as part of sanitation and recycling efforts.
The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) conducted a “Divine Waste Drive” to promote eco-friendly management of religious waste through collection, segregation and recycling of devotional materials.
Officials said 783 kg of such waste was processed across Medchal, Kompally, Madhapur, Allwyn Colony and Nizampet, with measures to handle the materials while reducing landfill load and environmental impact. In a separate initiative, the civic body carried out a bulk household waste collection drive, during which 191 items were collected. These included 52 sofas, 82 mattresses and 57 other furniture items, aimed at clearing bulky waste from public spaces and ensuring proper disposal and processing.
The drives were part of ongoing efforts to improve waste management and sanitation across the municipality.
