ADILABAD: Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday criticised remarks made by former MLA and MP Balka Suman, terming them “inflammatory” and “irresponsible,” and said violence and destruction would not yield any constructive outcome.

Speaking to the media during his visit to an IKP paddy procurement centre at Bommakal in Karimnagar district, he alleged that the BRS was focused on creating chaos and using acts of destruction for financial and political gain. He said such statements reflected that people were no longer taking the party seriously.

Interacting with farmers at the procurement centre, he reviewed their concerns, with several farmers expressing distress over rain-damaged paddy lying at the facility. He questioned the state government on delays in procurement despite full financial support from the Centre, and said the Chief Minister should formally inform the Union government if it was unable to carry out procurement.

Later, addressing the concluding ceremony of the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Prashiksha Abhiyan in Warangal, he said the Centre, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had allocated higher funds to Warangal Municipal Corporation compared to Karimnagar and Nizamabad. He alleged that the funds were diverted and misused by previous BRS and Congress governments, leading to neglect of development in Warangal.

He called upon party cadre to secure victory in the Warangal Municipal Corporation and to launch a campaign against what he termed anti-people policies of the State government.
