31-yr-Old Man Held With MDMA, Opium

HYDERABAD: A 31-year-old man was arrested for allegedly procuring and supplying drugs from his residence in Petbasheerabad on Wednesday.

Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid at a house located in Angadipet area of Petbasheerabad. During the operation, the accused, identified as Rajender alias Raju Bhakar, a native of Nagaur district in

Rajasthan, was taken into custody.

Police seized 200 gms of MDMA, 60 gms of opium, a mobile phone and a portable weighing machine from the premises.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had allegedly been procuring narcotics from Rajasthan and supplying them in Hyderabad.

A case has been registered under Sections 8(c), 17(b), 22(c), 27A, 29 and 27(a) of the NDPS Act. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
