3 Held For Injecting Painkiller Tablets in Utnoor
Police seized three strips of Tapentadol tablets, two syringes and two mobile phones from the accused
ADILABAD: Utnoor police arrested three persons and booked two others for allegedly misusing Tapentadol painkiller tablets as an injectable drug near the Idgah at KB Complex in Utnoor, police said on Friday.
Police seized three strips of Tapentadol tablets, two syringes and two mobile phones from the accused.
Utnoor ASP Ruthvik Sai Kotte said police found the accused allegedly injecting the tablets during checks near the Idgah on July 16.
The arrested persons were identified as Chowhan Nikhil Raj, Podeti Vamsi Krishna and Kadam Krishna. Two other accused are absconding.
Police said the investigation revealed that pharmacist Kadam Shekar had allegedly sold Tapentadol tablets without a prescription.
Utnoor CI M. Prasad, SI Vijay and other police personnel took part in the operation.
