Hyderabad: Controversies involving T. Narendra Chowdary (popularly known as NTV Chowdary) in the Jubilee Hills society and its related matters refuse to die down, with the Jubilee Hills police registering a fresh first information report (FIR) on allegations that he was fraudulently appointed returning officer for the Jubilee Hills International Centre (JHIC) elections that were held last year.

The alleged fraud was based on information received from a Right To Information (RTI) query filed by JHIC former president K. Surender Reddy on July 2, 2026. According to the FIR, minutes of the previous governing council appointing Chowdary as returning officer (RO) were allegedly fabricated.

Surender Reddy in his complaint alleged that Chowdary’s appointment was not on the agenda of the meeting and no such appointment was made. “However, records submitted to the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) by the present governing council, showed minutes approving Chowdary’s appointment as RO and my signature was forged on the minutes,” alleged Surender Reddy.

He also alleged that his signature had been forged on several critical records to falsely portray that the election process was undisputed and that he had voluntarily stepped down. “These forged documents were collectively used to mislead the RCS into approving a fabricated change of the governing council. T. Narendra Chowdary acted as the returning officer (RO) without any valid resolution or appointment letter from the Secretary,” the complainant alleged.

The Jubilee Hills police will also investigate into alleged misappropriation of `75 lakh purported to have been spent towards legal expenses. Governing council members Ch. Vasanth Kumar (president), T. Pradyumna Kumar Reddy (vice-president), Ch. Jagga Rao (secretary) M. Janardhan Reddy (joint secretary) and A. Suresh Reddy (treasurer) were made accused in the FIR registered as Cr.No. 478/2026 under Sections 316(2), 318(4), 336(3), 340(2) r/w 3(5) BNS.
