Warangal Member of Parliament Dr Kadiam Kavya has urged South Central Railway authorities to expedite allocation of railway land for the proposed bus stand at Kazipet.

She met South Central Railway general manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava and Secunderabad divisional railway manager Dr R. Gopalakrishnan at Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad and submitted a representation seeking early completion of the land transfer process. Discussions were also held on the proposed land exchange.

Dr Kavya said the railway ministry had, on June 4, 2025, proposed transfer of railway land at Kazipet signal junction in exchange for state government land of equivalent value. She said the process had seen little progress despite the passage of more than a year.

She informed officials that the state government had identified suitable land in the Warangal-Hanamkonda region for the exchange and called for a joint site inspection by railway and revenue department officials to complete formalities.

The MP said the delay in land transfer had stalled construction of the bus stand and requested authorities to coordinate with the revenue department to expedite the process.

She said the proposed facility near Kazipet Railway Station and the national highway would improve public transport in the Warangal-Hanamkonda-Kazipet region and help manage passenger traffic and connectivity.
