Visually-Challenged Girl Scores 565 Marks
Kaaviya said she wanted to set an example for the differently-abled students and thanked her parents and teachers
CHENNAI: The visually-challenged daughter of a weaver in Kanchipuram scored 565 marks in the plus-2 examination this year. The girl, Kaaviya, said she wants to complete her higher education and become a government staff by writing competitive examinations.
Weaver Jayakumar and his wife Prema live in Kanchipuram with their two daughters. Their elder daughter, Kaaviya, is visually-challenged and studied in a school for the differently-abled in Chennai, and appeared for the plus-2 examination this year.
When the results were released on Friday, it was found Kaaviya had scored 565 marks. Her friends who came to know of her achievement distributed sweets and celebrated the success.
Kaaviya said she wanted to set an example for the differently-abled students and thanked her parents and teachers. She wanted to do higher education and join a government job by writing competitive examinations. Kaaviya said she was confident of achieving her dream.
