Police Seize Accused's Property In Bantwal Cattle Slaughter Case

Mangaluru: Police have attached a house and cattle shed allegedly used for illegal cattle slaughter in connection with a case registered at Bantwal Town police station.

The property, located at Kolake Panjaje in Sajipa Mooda village of Bantwal taluk, belongs to an accused Mustafa booked under the Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act, 2020.

Police said the seizure was carried out under Section 8(1) of the Act, which empowers authorities to attach premises allegedly used for offences related to cattle slaughter.

The accused has been booked under Sections 4, 7 and 12 of the Act.

Following the seizure, police have submitted a report to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Mangaluru Sub-Division for further legal proceedings.
