Six Injured In Apparent Blast In Humnabad Of Karnataka, Cause To Be confirmed
District In-charge Minister Eshwar B Khandre ordered police to investigate blast on Molgi Marayya Temple Road.
Bidar : Six persons, including four school-going children, were injured in an apparent blast whose cause is yet to be ascertained in Molakera village of Humnabad taluk in Bidar district on Friday.
Preliminary reports said the incident occurred on Molgi Marayya Temple Road. Children were on their way to school and waiting for their school van when the blast occurred. A youth, an elderly person and four schoolchildren sustained injuries.
“The sound was very loud. We do not know what exactly happened,” villagers said.
Following the incident, District In-charge Minister Eshwar B Khandre ordered a detailed investigation. He directed the district administration to ensure proper medical treatment for the injured and to bear their treatment expenses.
The Minister also instructed the Superintendent of Police and explosive detection experts to visit the spot, collect samples from the site, and conduct a scientific probe.
He said a comprehensive investigation should be carried out to ascertain the cause of the blast, the nature of the material involved, how it reached the spot, and for what purpose it was kept there. He further directed that strict legal action be taken against those responsible, once the cause is established.
