Ballari Cyber Crime Police have registered a case after examining 68 CyberTipline reports concerning videos allegedly depicting sexual activity involving minor boys and girls on Instagram.

According to the complaint filed by Suresh, a head constable of Ballari Cyber Crime Police Station, he examined the videos on October 19 on the directions of his superiors. The videos were found to allegedly depict sexual activity involving minor children, the complaint stated.

The videos appeared to have been uploaded through Instagram accounts operated by suspected persons between November 29, 2025, and May 9, 2026.

Police registered a case under section 67 (B) of IT Act against the suspected account holders based on the 68 reports and took up an investigation to identify those responsible for uploading the content.
