Affected 49 Homes at an Apartment Taken-Up Using Advanced Technologies in Bengaluru
SNN Raj Etternia has entrusted Edifice Engineering, having extensive experience executing technically complex demolition projects in dense urban environments, with the assignment of carrying out precision demolition without disrupting surrounding communities.
Bengaluru:SNN Raj Etternia on Friday began demolition and subsequent reconstruction of 49 homes at its apartment in HSR Layout of Bengaluru city following an external examination report engaged for the project’s geo-technical investigation detected an error in the soil testing. The premium residential development consists of 972 homes and the affected 49 homes.
In a statement here SNN Raj Corporation stated a fresh soil investigation subsequently undertaken revealed that a critical borehole reading in the external agency’s report had been interchanged, resulting in an incorrect assessment of the soil condition at that location.
“Although the buildings already received the Occupancy Certificate and the structure exhibited no signs of structural distress, SNN Raj Etternia chose not to proceed with handover of the affected homes, prioritising long-term structural integrity over commercial considerations,” the statement said.
The decision to dismantle the affected homes was voluntarily communicated to concerned regulatory authorities while necessary approvals for demolition were subsequently obtained before initiating the dismantling process, the statement said.
SNN Raj Etternia has entrusted Edifice Engineering, having extensive experience executing technically complex demolition projects in dense urban environments, with the assignment of carrying out precision demolition without disrupting surrounding communities.
Jigar Chheda, Partner, Edifice Engineering, said in the statement “This is a carefully planned engineering exercise where every stage of the structured dismantling is executed in a controlled manner using advanced demolition technologies and precision diamond-cutting methods.”
SNN Raj Etternia stated “The ongoing demolition and subsequent reconstruction are limited only to the affected apartment block and do not impact the remainder of the development.”
