Vizag: LKG Student Dies After Allegedly Being Hit by Teacher
A six-year-old LKG student died of a suspected heart attack at a private school here after he was allegedly hit by his teacher for not completing classwork.
Visakhapatnam: A six-year-old LKG student died of a suspected heart attack at a private school here on Thursday, after he was allegedly reprimanded by his teacher for not completing classwork. The incident took place at Little Garden School in the city.
CCTV footage from the classroom shows the boy standing in a line looking scared. As the teacher adjusted his uniform, the child began crying, and the teacher is then seen slapping him once. The boy instantly collapsed onto the teacher.
As per reports, he was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
After viewing the CCTV footage, the child’s parents and relatives staged an angry protest in front of the school, alleging that corporal punishment led to the death. Police have registered a case regarding this incident and launched an investigation.
Relatives are demanding action against both the teacher who beat the child and the school management.
