NELLORE: Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy on Thursday said the coalition government is committed to transforming Udayagiri Assembly constituency into a hub for development and employment through improved infrastructure and industrial growth.

Inaugurating a `1.67-crore road at Kakolluvaripalle in Varikuntapadu mandal, the MP said rural roads are essential for development but stressed that the government's vision also includes education, employment and industrialisation. Vemireddy announced that five industries, with a combined investment of around `2,245 crore, would be established in the proposed Defence Ammunition Cluster at Duttalur. Later, the MP felicitated newly elected Rajya Sabha member Bhashyam Ramakrishna at Kakolluvaripalle. Earlier, he offered special prayers at the Sri Vengamamba Perantalu Ammavari Temple at Narravada in Duttalur mandal.
