Notification Out for Jupadu Bunglow MPP Vice-President Poll

The Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission (SEC) on Thursday issued a notification for conducting an indirect election to fill the casual vacancy in the post of vice-president of the Jupadu Bunglow Mandal Praja Parishad (MPP) in Nandyal district.

SEC commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha directed a gazetted officer authorised by the Nandyal District Collector and District Election Authority to conduct the election in accordance with the prescribed rules.

As per the notification, the authorised officer will issue a notice in Form-V convening a special meeting for the election on or before July 25. The special meeting to elect the vice-president will be held at 11 a.m. on July 29. The SEC directed that the election process be completed strictly as per the rules governing indirect elections.
