DME Notifies 234 Senior Resident Posts

The Andhra Pradesh government has issued a notification inviting applications for 234 Senior Resident vacancies in 15 government teaching hospitals.

The director of medical education (DME) has invited applications for the recruitment of 234 Senior Residents in 15 government teaching hospitals across Andhra Pradesh.

According to the notification, candidates from broad specialities and super-specialities are eligible to apply. Those with diplomate of national board (DNB) qualifications are also eligible.

Applicants should not have attained the age of 44 years as on the date of notification. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of `80,500 and will be required to serve in government hospitals for one year.

Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official DME website on or before July 19. The vacancies will be filled based on availability in the respective government medical colleges.

Official sources said a significant number of vacancies are available in teaching hospitals in the Rayalaseema region, including Kurnool Government Medical College, RIMS Kadapa and Government Medical College, Anantapur.

The DME said selection will be based on merit. In the event of a tie, seniority will be determined on the basis of the candidate's date of birth.
