‘Trupti Canteen’ to Empower DWCRA Women: Farooq

KURNOOL: Minister for law and minority welfare N.M.D. Farooq on Friday said the state government is committed to the economic empowerment of DWCRA women by promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities. He was speaking after inaugurating a ‘Trupti Canteen’ set up under the aegis of MEPMA at the Nandyal Collectorate premises.

The minister inaugurated the canteen along with district collector G. Rajakumari and joint collector Karthik.

Farooq said the canteen has been established as per government directions to provide stable employment to DWCRA women. Located near the highway road, the canteen will operate round the clock. With heavy bus movement during night hours, the facility is expected to attract good patronage. He advised the women to prepare and sell quality tiffins and meals, aiming for a daily turnover of `30,000 to `40,000.
