Vizag: 7 Railway Stations Between Palasa-Ichchapuram Transferred To South Zone
Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu shared that the Railway Board has issued orders transferring 7 railway stations from East Coast Railway Zone to the South Coast Railway Zone headquartered in Visakhapatnam.

New Delhi/ Srikakulam: The Railway Board has issued orders transferring seven railway stations, located between Ichchapuram and Palasa in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh under the Khurda Division of the East Coast Railway Zone, to the Visakhapatnam Division of the South Coast Railway Zone.
Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu shared the news through a social media post on Friday. In this regard, on behalf of the people of Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, the Minister expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and the Railway Board for considering the request and issuing the necessary orders.
The seven railway stations, including Palasa, Baruva, Jadhupudi, Summadevi, Sompeta, Mandasa Road, and Ichchapuram, will now come under this South Coast Railway Zone, ensuring better administrative efficiency and improved services for the people of Srikakulam, he stated. This has been a long-pending aspiration of our people, and I have been consistently pursuing it since the zone’s announcement in 2019, he stated in his message.
