Tirupati District Publishes Its Draft Voter List With Total 14.81-lakh Electorate

Tirupati: Tirupati district has published its draft electoral roll after the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026, with the total number of voters being 14,81,603, district collector and district election officer (DEO) Dr. S. Venkateshwar announced on Friday.
Addressing a press conference at the Collectorate, he said the draft roll comprises 7,20,329 male voters, 7,61,188 female voters and 86 third gender voters. Dr. Venkateshwar said claims and objections can be filed from July 31 to August 30. After verification, the final electoral roll will be published on October 3.
The collector underlined that Tirupati district has completed the draft roll preparation transparently, with participation of political parties, booth level officers, and election officials. Before the revision, the district had 17,69,429 voters. During door-to-door verification, officials identified 2,87,826 cases involving absent, shifted, deceased, and duplicate voters.
Dr. Venkateshwar said 14,81,603 voters had submitted enumeration forms. Another 1,62,230 voters, whose mapping process is yet to be completed, have also been included in the draft roll. Notices will be issued to them between August 1 and August 30 to submit supporting documents, after which names of those eligible will be retained in the final roll.
The collector disclosed that software-based scrutiny detected 2,38,863 anomalies, including age mismatches and family relation discrepancies. Tirupati district recorded an anomaly rate of 13 per cent, lower than the state average of 18 per cent. These cases will be verified through notices and supporting documents.
The collector appealed to all eligible citizens who have attained 18 years of age by July 1, 2026 to enrol as voters using Form 6. Voters seeking corrections in name, age, address, or other particulars, or wishing to shift family members to the same polling station, can apply through Form 8.
