The YSR Congress has called upon the government to seek a CBI probe into irregularities in DSC, and demanded the resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh, taking responsibility on moral grounds.

The YSRC East Godavari district president and former minister Srinivasa Venu Gopalakrishna along with the former MLAs Sathi Suryanarayana Reddy, Talari Venkata Rao, Nagulapalli Dhana Lakshmi, the party Rajamahendravaram Lok Sabha incharge G Srinivas and others submitted a memorandum to the East Godavari collector Kirti Chekuri on Friday.

Gopalakrishna said the government had compromised transparency vis-à-vis DSC by centralizing key responsibilities related to question paper preparation and examination management. “The processes were entrusted to outsourced personnel, and this raised public concern over a question paper leak.”

He said that a case was pending before the high court, and an outsourced employee who secured top ranks was later removed from the merit list. He also questioned the government’s decision to exempt sports quota candidates from the written examination through specific government orders before restoring the earlier norms after recruitment.

The YSRC demanded that the government clear the pending fee reimbursement and Vidya Deevena and Vasati Deevena dues of `9,500 crore and implement the promised unemployment allowance of `3,000 a month for eligible youth with retrospective effect.
