Hyderabad: A rap video praising India and Andhra Pradesh has gone viral on social media, offering a counter-narrative to what the creator described as misleading portrayals of the country online.

Shared by a social media user named Incognito, the video features a African man who documents his visit to Andhra Pradesh and turns his real-life experiences into a rap song. In the accompanying post, the user said the rapper travelled across the State, enjoyed his stay, and decided to reflect his journey through music.

In the video, the rapper speaks about arriving in India with doubts shaped by social media content, only to encounter warmth, friendship and cultural richness. His lyrics reference Indian food, chai, street life and the hospitality he experienced, while criticising stereotypes and misinformation circulated online.

Reacting to the viral clip, Andhra Pradesh minister Nara Lokesh wrote on X: “He came. He saw. Andhra delivered. The myths didn’t survive. Ek do teen chaar — India delivered by the hour!”
