Teaching Doctors Seek Release Of UGC PRC-2016 Wage Arrears

Vijayawada:Teaching doctors working in government medical colleges have appealed to the state government to release pending wage arrears under the UGC Pay Revision Commission (PRC)-2016.
At a state-level meeting organised by the Government Doctors Association in Vijayawada on Saturday, APGDA president Dr D. Jayadheer Babu and general secretary Dr B. Ramesh Kumar said the state government had implemented the UGC PRC-2016 for government teaching doctors only from 2021, although the recommendations were due to take effect from 2016.
They said the government had not clarified the status of the pending arrears and urged it to release the dues.
