AP Re-Notifies 271 Liquor Shops, Draw Of Lots On October 21

Vijayawada:The Andhra Pradesh government has re-notified 271 unallotted liquor retail shops for allotment through a draw of lots on October 21 under its 2026-27 retail liquor policy.
Excise commissioner Ch. Sridhar said on Saturday that the fresh notification covered 267 general-category shops and four reserved-category shops. Applications will be accepted online or offline until midnight on October 19.
The non-refundable application fee is Rs 3 lakh per shop. The draw of lots will be held at 8 am on October 21 at the respective district collectorates, and selected applicants will be informed on the same day.

The district-wise distribution of the 271 shops is as follows: YSR Kadapa — 33; Nellore — 24; Guntur — 19; Tirupati — 19; West Godavari — 17; Prakasam — 16; Anantapur — 15; Anakapalli — 13; Krishna — 13; Bapatla — 12; Palnadu — 12; Markapuram — 11; Srikakulam — 10; Kakinada — 8; Nandyal — 8; Sri Sathya Sai — 7; Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema — 6; Eluru — 5; Visakhapatnam — 5; Vizianagaram — 5; Annamayya — 4; Chittoor — 3; Alluri Sitarama Raju (ASR) — 2; Kurnool — 2; and NTR — 2.
Excise authorities had earlier notified 3,736 liquor retail shops, of which 3,466 had been allotted, accounting for nearly 93 per cent of the total.
