Sajjan Jindal Says Working With Chandrababu a Matter of Honour
JSW plans Rs 50,000 crore investment in Andhra Pradesh, targeting 50,000 jobs.
Kadapa: Jindal Group chairman Sajjan Jindal on Friday said it is a matter of honour to work alongside Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Speaking after the foundation stone laying ceremony of the JSW steel plant at Sunnapurallapalle in Rayalaseema, Sajjan Jindal described Chandrababu as a visionary leader.
He pointed out that the Rayalaseema steel plant, with an initial capacity of one million tonnes per annum, would be expanded in the coming phases. The project would generate large-scale employment and livelihood opportunities for local youth, significantly boosting the regional economy.
Praising the AP Chief Minister, the Jindal Group chairman said leaders with such foresight are rare in the country. He recalled that Chandrababu Naidu’s vision transformed Cyberabad into a major information technology hub during the undivided Andhra Pradesh era. He underlined that working with leaders who constantly think of national development is a privilege for industrialists.
Sajjan Jindal also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for steering the country towards rapid growth. He underlined that with leaders like Chandrababu Naidu at the state level, India’s development goals can be achieved at a faster pace.
The Jindal Group chairman said apart from steel and energy projects in Rayalaseema, the group is setting up an industrial park in Vizianagaram district. He disclosed that the JSW Group plans to invest nearly Rs 50,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh, generating employment for around 50,000 people.
