Ratan Tata Hub Opens Idea Lab, Studio in Tirupati to Support Start-ups

TIRUPATI: The Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) in Tirupati inaugurated its new Idea Lab and Studio Room on Wednesday to support innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology development in the region.
Tirupati district collector Dr. S. Venkateswar inaugurated the facilities in presence of Srikalahasti revenue divisional officer Bhanu Prakash Reddy.
The collector interacted with start-ups supported by RTIH and reviewed several technologies developed to address challenges in healthcare, infrastructure, and other sectors. The innovations included Squint Sense, an AI-based portable device for detecting strabismus, an intelligent hand rehabilitation glove for stroke patients, Infra Robot for underground drainage monitoring and cleaning, and UniHub, an AI-powered platform for hardware development.
Dr. Venkateswar met the participants and resource person Venkata Kamesh at the Drone Bootcamp of the RTIH and appreciated them for using emerging technologies to develop solutions for real-world problems.
RTIH chief executive officer Vijayawanth Mathur said the Idea Lab has been established to help students, innovators, and start-ups generate ideas, design, and develop prototypes. He said the Studio Room would be used for podcast production, start-up interviews, founder stories, and digital content creation. These facilities will help innovators present their ideas and innovations to a wider audience through multimedia content.RTIH Incubation head Dr. D. Pragathi said the organisation remains committed to supporting innovation-based entrepreneurship in Andhra Pradesh. She stressed the importance of providing innovators with infrastructure, mentorship, and ecosystem support to turn ideas into successful ventures.
The RTIH has thanked its ecosystem partners, including Adani, Navayuga, Amara Raja, and IIT Tirupati, for their support in strengthening the regional start-up and innovation ecosystem.
