Purandeswari Seeks Mandate For Alliance In Anantapur
Purandeswari alleged that the previous government had diverted ₹145 crore sanctioned: Reports
ANANTAPUR: BJP national vice-president and MP Daggubati Purandeswari has appealed to voters to support alliance candidates in the Anantapur Municipal Corporation elections to sustain development under the double-engine government.
As part of the campaign, she participated in a roadshow from Saptagiri Circle to Vidyut Nagar Circle on Tuesday, along with mayoral candidate K. Ajesh Babu.
Addressing people, Purandeswari thanked voters for ending what she described as the vindictive and destructive rule of the previous YSRC government and bringing the NDA alliance to power.
She said Andhra Pradesh, including Anantapur, was witnessing development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. She highlighted industrial development, wind energy and solar power projects in the district.
Purandeswari alleged that the previous government had diverted ₹145 crore sanctioned by the Centre, thereby deceiving the people.
She said further development of Anantapur city depended on the victory of the BJP mayoral candidate and alliance nominees. She appealed to voters to ensure a huge majority for alliance candidates in all 62 divisions of the corporation.
