The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has introduced a QR code-based booking facility at its Machilipatnam depot to make parcel and courier services faster and more convenient.
The facility was launched at the parcel booking counter under the directions of Krishna District Public Transport Officer K. Venkateswarlu and the supervision of superintendent G. Gopal.
Explaining the procedure, APSRTC officials said customers could scan the QR code displayed at the counter using their mobile phones and enter the sender’s and recipient’s names, addresses, phone numbers and other required details.
After entering the information, customers must click on the “Confirm Business Booking” button to generate a unique code containing the booking details.
Customers can present this code at the parcel booking counter to complete the booking process quickly, without entering the details again. The initiative is expected to reduce waiting time, streamline logistics operations and improve service efficiency.
APSRTC officials appealed to customers to use the facility for a smoother and faster booking experience.
