Vijayawada: Education and IT Minister N. Lokesh has stated that three traits - speed, stability and service - are helping Andhra Pradesh attract huge investments.

Taking part in a programme in Delhi on Monday, he listed giants like Google Data Centre, ArcelorMittal and Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) starting the works to establish their firms in a few months’ time.

He said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has a vision to develop AP’s economy to become US$ 2.4 trillion by 2047 and they are working in that direction.

Lokesh said that with the blessings from the lord and the people, he was expecting to have a political life for the next 40 to 50 years. He would remain balanced both when he loses and wins. “I am focussing more on promotion of education, attracting huge investments and creating jobs to make AP something different from other states,” he said.

Lokesh said, “We are going to complete the construction of buildings to accommodate the Assembly, Secretariat and High Court in Amaravati by 2028. Our aim is to mobilise Rs.60,000 crore for the capital city.”

He asserted that hospitals, hotels and educational institutions were coming up in the capital city, and sounded confident of developing Amaravati as an economic powerhouse.

Earlier, Lokesh paid a courtesy visit to the ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India Lee Seong-ho in Delhi.

Lokesh discussed with the ambassador the expansion of Korean companies in India and also the opportunity for cooperation between both the nations. As South Korea is leading in areas like semiconductors, micro electronics, ship building and electric vehicles, Lokesh discussed how AP could become a long time partner for setting up Korean companies in India.
