Ambati Demands CBI Probe Into Custodial Death of Sai Krishna and Death by Suicide of Kranti Kumar

Vijayawada:YSRC senior leader Ambati Rambabu on Monday demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the alleged custodial death of Sai Krishna and the death by suicide of Kranti Kumar, besides seeking the suspension of the Vijayawada city police commissioner to ensure a fair investigation.
Addressing the media, Rambabu alleged that Sai Krishna had been brought from Markapuram to Krishnalanka police station by Task Force personnel on May 9 for the execution of a non-bailable warrant and claimed that his whereabouts had remained unknown thereafter.
He also demanded that the authorities disclose the identities of the personnel who had brought Sai Krishna from Markapuram.
Referring to the death of Kranti Kumar, Rambabu said the case should be handed over to the CBI for investigation. He stated that while the case had initially been registered as a suspicious death, subsequent developments warranted a more detailed probe.
The YSRC leader alleged that the circumstances surrounding the death required investigation from a different angle and called for appropriate legal action based on the findings of an independent inquiry.
