Nellore:In a fiery press meet at the TDP district office here on Monday, Deputy mayor Roop Kumar Yadav lambasted former YSRCP legislator Nallapareddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy, saying the latter defended the “abusive comments” against women politicians, particularly MLA Prashanthi Reddy.
Roop questioned whether Prasanna would tolerate similar insults if those were directed at his own mother or sister. “Would you sit quietly if someone used such filthy language about your family?” he asked.
He condemned Prasanna for supporting those who made shameful comments and accused him of lacking integrity. Roop alleged that Prasanna distanced himself from his own family for political benefits and later sought forgiveness to save his face before elections.
Roop also accused him of financial misconduct—like a failure to repay loans, use of fake property documents and demanding commissions in political dealings. He also targeted former minister Anil Kumar Yadav, saying that even the party sidelined him now.
Calling it a disgrace to politics, Roop said Nellore’s people clearly knew who’s tarnishing public life.
