India’s Premier Fusion AI Summit 2026 Starts in Vizag’s VMRDA Children’s Arena
MSMEs’ minister Kondapalli Srinivas inaugurated the summit, asking youth to adapt themselves to an AI-driven future
Visakhapatnam: The premier Fusion AI Summit 2026 that opened in Visakhapatnam on Friday at the VMRDA Children’s Arena, drawing global technology leaders, industry pioneers, and policymakers to chart India’s AI roadmap and accelerate the transformation of artificial intelligence from vision to execution.
This is the second edition of the summit, positioning Vizag as the venue for India’s premier artificial intelligence conclave on the East Coast.
MSMEs’ minister Kondapalli Srinivas inaugurated the summit, asking youth to adapt themselves to an AI-driven future. He pointed out that the state government has already adopted artificial intelligence for real-time governance and citizen services, including policy access through WhatsApp. He reaffirmed AP government’s commitments not just to AI but also to sectors ranging from aerospace and defence to manufacturing and circular economy.
Speaking on the occasion, APDTI Network chairman Sreedhar Kosaraju highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s rapid rise as an AI infrastructure hub, noting that nearly 20 per cent of India’s recent AI and data centre investments have flowed into the state. In this regard, he pointed to announcements of nearly 4 GW of data centre capacity by players, such as Google, Reliance, RMG, ReNew, and CtrlS, positioning Visakhapatnam as a major AI investment destination. He asked startups and enterprises to focus on AI-backed globally competitive products, while ensuring ethical and human-centric adoption.
STPI additional director Dr. Suresh Batha encouraged students to turn to entrepreneurship, stressing innovation, productivity, and disciplined execution as essential qualities in the AI era.
Talent AP president Suresh Narra spoke of bridging academia and industry through hackathons and virtual learning platforms, while Kishore Dasari of ITAAP asked professionals to focus on building AI-powered solutions that address real-world challenges.
The summit honoured innovators through the Fusion AI Awards in fields across MedTech, EduTech, FinTech, logistics, and enterprise technology. Among the innovators are Swaasa, Risenine Technologies, DATAi2i, The Digifac, Logistics Studio, Think AI, and PRAGYA Digital Twin and Command Centre.
Keynote sessions and panels explored themes such as Agentic AI, Vertical AI, enterprise adoption, autonomous engineering, AI governance, and generative AI.
Bosch Global Software Technologies introduced the concept of the Agent Development Life Cycle, while industry leaders demonstrated AI’s role in predictive maintenance, intelligent operations, and industrial transformation.
Speakers underlined the importance of future skills, advising students and professionals to complement AI capabilities with systems thinking and domain expertise.
With participation from Microsoft, Infosys, Bosch, TCS, Adroitent, and several startups, the summit has underscored the need for collaboration between government, industry, academia, and investors.
Organisers said the event aims to position Andhra Pradesh as a leading destination for AI, DeepTech, and innovation, enabling it to attract high-value technology investments.
