Nellore:Telugu Desam’s hybrid Mahanadu celebrations turned into a massive “Pasupu Panduga” across Nellore and Prakasam districts on Wednesday, with thousands of party cadres participating enthusiastically in virtual cluster-level events.
Minister for municipal administration Ponguru Narayana said the party had originally planned to hold Mahanadu physically in Nellore. But it had been converted into a hybrid format following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for fuel conservation amid the West Asia conflict.
Narayana declared that the hybrid Mahanadu had received an overwhelming response across 1,875 clusters statewide.
In Nellore city alone, TD workers celebrated Mahanadu in a festive atmosphere across 14 clusters. Atmakur, Kovur, Nellore Rural, and Sarvepalli constituencies witnessed large gatherings.
TD leaders unfurled party flags, paid tributes to party founder N.T. Rama Rao and watched speeches of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh on giant digital screens.
Among those who participated in the hybrid events across multiple constituencies included Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, Endowments minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, former minister and TTD Board member Panabaka Lakshmi, Power minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar and Social Welfare minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy.
Leaders highlighted welfare schemes, women empowerment under the “Stree Shakti” theme, industrial development, and employment generation, while calling upon cadres to work and ensure a clean sweep of the NDA coalition in the upcoming local body elections.
