AP HC Seeks Raghurama’s Medical Records

The court posted the matter for further hearing after two weeks.

Vijayawada:The Andhra Pradesh High Court has directed the Principal Secretary of the Health Department and the Medical Superintendent of Guntur Government Hospital to produce all medical records pertaining to the alleged custodial torture of former MP and Assembly Deputy Speaker K. Raghurama Krishna Raju.

A single-judge bench headed by Justice T. Rajasekhar Rao heard a petition filed by Raghurama Krishna Raju in 2023, seeking directions to preserve the medical reports and records of medical tests conducted following the alleged custodial torture. During the hearing, the court reiterated its earlier direction to the Medical Superintendent of the government hospital to safeguard all relevant medical records. The court posted the matter for further hearing after two weeks.
