Final AP EAPCET Phase Fills 3,141 Fresh Seats
The final phase of AP EAPCET-2026 MPC counselling filled 3,141 fresh seats, with candidates asked to report to colleges by September 24
As many as 3,141 fresh admissions were made in the third and final phase of AP EAPCET-2026 MPC stream counselling, according to admission details released by the Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Department.
The Convenor issued the notification for the final phase on September 7, with web counselling beginning on September 9. Of the 1,74,971 candidates who qualified in AP EAPCET-2026, 1,15,562 had registered for counselling up to the final phase.
The department said 456 candidates registered in the third and final phase, while 25,204 candidates exercised their web options, resulting in 3,141 fresh admissions.
The final phase allotments were released on September 20. Candidates have been asked to complete self-reporting and report to their respective colleges between September 20 and 24. Classes had already commenced at the colleges.
In engineering programmes, 241 colleges offered 1,52,100 Convener quota seats, of which 1,02,650 were filled, leaving 49,450 vacant.
Of the 26 university engineering colleges, 9,479 seats were available, with 7,441 filled and 2,038 vacant. Among 200 private colleges, 1,27,487 seats were available, with 81,653 filled and 45,834 vacant. The 15 private universities had 15,134 seats, of which 13,556 were filled and 1,578 remained vacant.
The department said 659 sports-category seats were kept aside as the final merit list from the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh had not been received. These seats were therefore not allotted in the final counselling phase.
