₹53.75-Cr Works Lined Up For Atmakur
Atmakur is set for development works worth ₹53.75 crore, including completed projects, new infrastructure and urban works.
Atmakur will see inauguration and foundation-laying ceremonies for development works on Monday, with projects stated to be worth `53.75 crore.
Around `10 crore worth of completed works will be inaugurated, while foundation stones will be laid for projects estimated at `35 crore. Ministers Ponguru Narayana, Kolusu Parthasarathi and N. MD Farooq are scheduled to attend the programme along with MPs, MLCs and senior officials.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will virtually lay the foundation for another `29 crore worth of urban infrastructure works sanctioned for Atmakur on September 22 from Kuppam.
Endowments minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy reviewed preparations for the programmes on Sunday and inspected arrangements for the Maha Kumbhabhishekam of the newly constructed Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple at the Atmakur TIDCO colony.
The temple was built at a cost of about `40 lakh, while the total expenditure on the temple, compound wall and Kalyana Mandapam is around `75 lakh. A Nakshatra Vanam is also being developed on the premises.
Reddy said two power substations, each costing `3.5 crore, a `1 crore drinking water pipeline for the TIDCO colony and a 2.1-km four-lane road from Nellorepalem Anjaneya Swamy temple to Atmakur were among the infrastructure works being taken up.
He said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan would launch works worth around `10,000 crore under the employment guarantee programme in Udayagiri constituency on September 24.
Reddy called upon officials, public representatives and alliance leaders to coordinate for the programmes.
