AP EAGLE Team Wins 2 Medals At Police TT Meet

VIJAYAWADA: The AP EAGLE Police team created history by securing two bronze medals in table tennis events at the 2nd All India Police Badminton Cluster 2025-26 tournament held in Lucknow from May 9 to 13 under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Police.
The achievement marks the first time that the Andhra Pradesh Police department has won medals in table tennis at the national-level All India Police sports tournament.
Senior police officers representing AP Police displayed impressive skill and determination during the competition. AP Eagle Chief and IGP Aake Ravikrishna, along with Eagle Additional SP Swaroopa Rani, clinched the bronze medal in the Mixed Doubles category after a strong performance against top contenders from across the country.
The AP team continued its success in the Women’s Doubles category as well. APPA SP T. Shobha Manjari and Additional SP Swaroopa Rani secured another bronze medal for Andhra Pradesh with a commendable performance.
Police officials described the feat as a landmark moment for the AP Police department, noting that it was the first occasion on which senior officers from the state police won two medals in a single All India Police Table Tennis tournament.
Speaking on the occasion, AP Eagle Chief IGP Ravikrishna expressed gratitude to state DGP Harish Kumar Gupta for encouraging and supporting the team’s participation in the national tournament.
