Nellore Rural MLA To Skip Convoy, Ride Bicycle

Nellore: Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has decided to travel on a bicycle or electric bike to Friday’s foundation stone laying programme in his constituency, avoiding his usual convoy and escort vehicles.

Development works worth around Rs 17 crore covering 168 projects are scheduled for inauguration and foundation laying ceremonies at Gadam Roshaiah Nagar in Kothur under the 31st Division.

The MLA is expected to travel nearly 6 to 7 km from his residence in Magunta Layout to the venue.

Sources said the decision follows appeals by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan promoting fuel conservation and reduced convoy usage.
