Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to make all efforts to control the raging fire following a gas leak at the Well Mori-5 of Irusumanda village of Malikipuram mandal in Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district on Monday.

The CM took stock of the development on the ONGC’s drilling site and spoke to the ministers K. Atchannaidu and Vassamsetti Subash. The ministers informed the CM that they had spoken to local officials and asked them to intensify relief efforts.

The CM directed the officials to ensure no trouble to the villagers due to raging fire due to the gas leak and to evacuate them to safety. He also directed the officials to coordinate with the Konaseema district officials and the ONGC officials to ensure that the gas leak to be stopped and the raging fire to be brought under control as early as possible.
