AP Boys Bag Top Ranks in JEE Advanced 2026
Academic experts say that as a majority of the top rankers are opting for B.Tech in CSE in IIT, Mumbai, they aim for a placement in top firms with a good package.
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh boys bagged top ranks including the 9th as the results for the JEE (Advanced) 2026 were announced on Monday.
Among the top 10 candidates in Common Rank List, Medisetti Naga Saharsha secured the 9th rank with a score of 312 out of 360 marks in the JEE Advanced 2026.
The top rankers aim to pursue B.Tech in IIT, Mumbai, while some want to appear for Civil Services examination to become an IAS officer while some are keen on initiating a startup after completing their B.Tech course.
Naga Saharsha hailing from Amalapuram in East Godavari district said, “I want to pursue B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering in IIT, Mumbai. I also have plans to have a startup. I feel very happy that I got the 9th rank and my hard work to prepare for the exam helped me get this. I am thankful to all those who helped me to achieve it.”
His father, M. Appa Rao works in the IT field while his mother Rajeswari is a home maker.
Pasala Mohith secured 26th rank. He hails from Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district. He said, “I feel happy that I used to study from 6.30 am to 10.30 pm except for a lunch break for some time.”
“I want to study B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering in IIT, Mumbai. I am thankful to all, including my parents, who helped me to prepare well,” he added.
His father Kiran Kumar and mother Sabitha are government doctors.
Bijjam Venkata Chandra Sekhar Reddy got 38th rank. He said, “I used to study 12 to 13 hours a day and want to pursue B.Tech in CSE in IIT, Mumbai.” He hails from Nujendla in Palnadu district and his father Venkata Ramana Reddy is a businessman while his mother Sudha Bharati is home maker.
Chinni Pawan Teja secured 56th rank. He hails from Naidugudem village in Eluru district. He said, “I want to pursue B.Tech in CSE in IIT, Mumbai, and wish to become an IAS officer.”
Naidu Lakshmi Tejal secured the 87th rank. Hailing from Chandrasekharapuram in Markapur district, he said, “I want to pursue B.Tech in IIT, Mumbai, and I have to decide which stream to opt for.”
