Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP supremo Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday extended greetings to the people of the state on Sri Krishna Janmashtami.

The governor said Sri Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated with joy and devotion and reminded people of the eternal message of Lord Sri Krishna delivered through the Bhagavad Gita.

"I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Andhra Pradesh on the auspicious occasion of Sri Krishnashtami," Nazeer said in a post on X. He said the teachings of Lord Sri Krishna provide a foundation for building a harmonious society.
The governor wished that the occasion would bring peace, progress and prosperity and further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, amity and harmony among the people of the state. Similarly, the CM extended greetings to all Telugu people on the occasion.
Naidu said the incarnation of Sri Krishna was another incarnation of Lord Maha Vishnu taken to prevent the triumph of unrighteousness.
He said Lord Sri Krishna, the Jagadguru, imparted the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna and guided him towards his duty during the Kurukshetra war.
"I sincerely wish that Sri Krishna's protection be with you and your family at all times. Wishing everyone a happy celebration of Sri Krishna Janmashtami and extending my greetings to all," Naidu said in a post on X.
Likewise, Jagan extended his heartfelt greetings to the people on Sri Krishnashtami and wished them happiness and prosperity with the divine blessings of Lord Sri Krishna.
He said Lord Sri Krishna upheld Dharma and showed the world that truth ultimately prevails.
"With heartfelt greetings to all the people on the occasion of Sri Krishnashtami, I sincerely wish that, with the divine blessings of Lord Sri Krishna, everyone may prosper with happiness and joy," Jagan said in a post on X.
Sri Krishna Janmashtami, also known as Krishnashtami, commemorates the birth of Lord Sri Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu.
In prominent Hindu scriptures, Krishna is identified not merely as an avatar but as the Supreme God himself, the origin of all avatars.
Devotees mark the occasion with prayers and bhajans (devotional hymns), while temples come alive with decorations and a host of spiritual and cultural programmes.
