Jana Sena Names Nalla Sridhar As Amalapuram Chairperson Candidate
Jana Sena fielded Pitta Janaki Rama Rao for Samalkot Municipality, while the YSRC nominated Uba Jon Moses. Both candidates filed their nominations.
Kakinada:The Jana Sena has named Nalla Sridhar as its candidate for the Amalapuram municipal chairperson post, ending three days of suspense over the selection.
Sridhar comes from a political family. His father, Nalla Satyanarayana, previously served as Amalapuram municipal vice-chairman and ran the Chenna Kesava Kala Parishad for several years. The YSRC has fielded Dudala Niritha Devi against Sridhar. She previously held a post at Sri Venkateswara Swamy Devasthanam.
In Peddapuram, Jana Sena candidate Raja Suribabu Raju filed his nomination on Saturday, while the YSRC was yet to finalise its candidate.

Medisetti Sesha Rao has been selected as the alliance candidate for Ramachandrapuram Municipality and is scheduled to file his nomination on Sunday. YSRC candidate Chintapallil Nageswara Rao also filed his nomination for the municipality.
In Eluru, RTC regional chairman Reddy Appala Naidu filed his nomination as the Mayor candidate on behalf of the alliance, while YSRC candidate Ganta Mohana Rao also filed his nomination for the corporation.
Meanwhile, 81 candidates filed nominations for Ramachandrapuram Municipality: two from the BJP, 26 from the Telugu Desam, 44 from the YSRC and two Independents.
A total of 26 nominations were filed for Mummidivaram Nagar Panchayat, including 11 from the Telugu Desam, one from Jana Sena, 10 from the YSRC and four Independents.
