Ambulance Driver Held for Stealing Gold Bangle from Deceased Woman
Ambulance driver arrested in Kadapa for allegedly stealing a ₹2 lakh gold bangle from a deceased woman during transport; ornament recovered.
Kadapa Taluk police arrested an ambulance driver for allegedly stealing a gold bangle from the body of a deceased woman while transporting it to her native village.
According to police, the woman, a native of Annamayya district, died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kadapa. Her family hired an ambulance to transport the body to their village.
After receiving the body, family members noticed that a gold bangle worn by the deceased was missing. The woman’s son lodged a complaint with Kadapa Taluk police, suspecting theft.
During the investigation, police identified the accused as ambulance driver Gangadhar Naidu. Police said he confessed to stealing the gold bangle, valued at around `2 lakh.
The ornament was recovered from his possession and returned to the victim’s family. Police have registered a case and are continuing the investigation.
