53 AP Youths Get Jobs In Germany, Dubai With State Support
Under Project Vasudha, the nursing candidates received free German language and employment-oriented training: Reports
VIJAYAWADA: Fifty-three skilled youths from Andhra Pradesh are set to pursue overseas careers after securing jobs in Germany/Dubai with support from the state government and its agencies.
The Overseas Manpower Company of Andhra Pradesh Ltd (OMCAP) on Friday felicitated 44 nurses selected for jobs in Germany and nine drivers chosen for employment in Dubai. They would get monthly salaries ranging from ₹3 lakh to ₹4 lakh.
The programme involved coordinated efforts of the government, OMCAP, AP state skill development corporation, AP non-resident Telugu society and partner organisation 2COMS.
Under Project Vasudha, the nursing candidates received free German language and employment-oriented training, besides help in visa processing and international travel. The initiative seeks to make overseas employment accessible to skilled youth, particularly those from economically weaker families.
APNRT president Ravi Kumar Vemuru assured the candidates of assistance through coordinators in various countries and advised them to register with APNRT. He urged them to follow host-country laws, maintain professional discipline and safeguard the reputation of Andhra Pradesh and India.
APSSDC managing director G. Ganesh Kumar stressed the importance of foreign-language skills and said German and other language training would be expanded.
B2-level German certificates and offer letters were distributed to the selected candidates in the presence of their parents.
