Five Group-1 Officers Promoted To IAS Cadre In Andhra Pradesh
In a major development in the Andhra Pradesh administrative system, five Non-State Civil Service (Non-SCS) Group-1 officers who have served in various departments were promoted to Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre.
Amaravati: In a major development in the Andhra Pradesh administrative system, five Non-State Civil Service (Non-SCS) Group-1 officers who have served in various departments were promoted to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre.
The Department of Personnel and Training, Public Grievances and Pensions ( DoPT) issued an official notification after receiving approval from the President of India. Their names were based on the select list from the year 2024.
Based on the central notification, Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand issued a Government Order on Friday to promote these five officers to the IAS cadre: Prabhala Gopinath, Gudisa Balakrishna, M. Jayakrishna, A.A.L. Padmavathi, Dr Varaprasad Mamillapalli. These officers have held key responsibilities in different departments and are set to take up new responsibilities soon.
Sources in the AP Secretariat stated that these promotions will go a long way in addressing the shortage of IAS officers in the state and in further strengthening the administration and ensuring the effective implementation of government schemes and delivery of services to the public.
