Police arrested the directors of Almighty Genesis of Kakinada for deceiving account holders promising high returns.
Directors Mojesh, Lalitambika of the Kakinada-based firm were taken into custody and are being interrogated. The duo promised investors that they would pay Rs 15,000 for every Rs 1 lakh invested in the firm.
Police found that the firm collected Rs 48 crore from investors in East Godavari district. As the payment of interest was stalled for the last few months, the investors staged a protest at the office in Kakinada.
Six investors lodged a complaint with the Sarpavaram police station. Police produced the arrested directors before the court.
