In Malayalam, it is raining sequels. Punyalan Private Limited, the second part of Punyalan Agarbathis has just hit theatres and Amal Neerad on Thursday declared arrival of Bilal, the second edition of Big B. Now, we hear that the Dulquer Salmaan- starrer Theevram, which hit the theatres in 2012, is getting its follow-up.
Roopesh Peethambaran, director of Theevram, announced it on Facebook.
“5 yrs of Theevram! Will there be a sequel for Theevram?? Will happen in 2019 with a new star cast ;) (sic)” he wrote.
Roopesh’s directorial debut, Theevram was Dulquer Salmaan’s third project and played a crucial role in elevating the actor’s career graph. He enlivened the character Harshavardhan, a mysterious man living alone in a house. A crime thriller, the movie earned mixed reviews. Now, let’s wait for the new cast.
