Dileep's business deals and his alleged marriage before tying the knot to ex-wife Manju Warrier are also being reportedly investigated.

Kochi: Actor Dileep, an accused in the actor abduction case, has moved Kerala High Court again seeking bail. Dileep argued that he was not the kingpin of any criminal conspiracy or even a participant. He is not the perpetrator of any criminal offence. Dileep argued he was only the unfortunate victim of an orchestrated media campaign and proceedings of a group of police officers acting on the preconceived notion of his guilt and wanting to implicate him. He alleged that additional DGP B. Sandhya had a very close connection with a Malayalam cine actress, who openly made a statement that there was a conspiracy.

When Dileep narrated in detail the role of an ad filmmaker in  his life, especially the relationship with his first wife Manju Warrier, the video camera which was till then functioning was found switched off.  When he realised  it, he promptly informed the officer, the petition said. He also alleged that the ad-filmmaker  with the help of a  CPM leader was trying to wreak vengeance  on him. He submitted that the police version is that he met Suni at four places on four occasions in four years, but there was no phone call or interaction either before or after such meetings or any other meetings.

To believe this story, one has to assume that the conspiracy took place during accidental meetings which  are both a ridiculous and far fetched  suggestion, to say the least, he argued. He submitted that  the investigating agency had been persuading other departments to initiate action against the petitioner on the allegations of the encroachment of government lands and accumulation of unaccounted wealth.
