Prabhas Fan Gets Close To Star At The Raja Saab Event; No Untoward Incident
Pre-release event of The Raja Saab raised brief concerns over superstar Prabhas’ security when crowd swells over 10000 fans
An unexpected moment at the pre-release event of The Raja Saab raised brief concerns over superstar Prabhas’ security when a fan managed to get close to the actor on stage despite a strong security cordon. However, organizers clarified that there was no security lapse and no untoward incident occurred.
“It was unexpected, but it was not a security lapse,” said a source associated with the event management team. “We had deployed more than 100 bouncers, anticipating massive crowds since Prabhas was appearing on stage after a long gap. Our priority was the safety of both the stars and the fans.”
Earlier, the producers and event managers also explained their choice of venue through a social media post. After evaluating several major venues in Hyderabad, Kaithalapur Grounds in Kukatpally was finalized as the safest and most feasible option, with official permission granted for only 8,000 attendees, keeping security protocols, venue availability, and public safety in mind.
However, the turnout exceeded expectations, with the crowd swelling to over 12,000, despite the makers repeatedly urging fans to attend only with valid passes. “Around 10,000 fans were accommodated inside the venue, while a few thousand gathered outside to catch a glimpse of the stars. Overall, the event went off smoothly without any untoward incidents,” the source added.
Despite the mild disturbance, Prabhas addressed the gathering with his trademark warmth and energy. “Darlings, how are you?” he greeted the crowd, adding with a smile, “I kept this ponytail for you fans.” He thanked fans for turning up in the cold weather and showered praise on his collaborators.
Prabhas acknowledged Hindi distributor Anil Thadani for his continued support and described Sanjay Dutt as the show-stealer of The Raja Saab. He also appreciated actresses Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, and Malavika Mohanan, noting that they worked on the film for more than two years.
Speaking about producer T.G. Vishwaprasad Prabhas said the project took nearly three years to complete. “Producer is a real hero of this film since he was fearless and confident throughout, patiently waiting despite rising budgets and shooting costs,” he remarked.
The actor also lauded music director Thaman for his powerful background score, joking that he would like to wear stylish suits like him. “I have nearly 200 dresses in my cupboard, but I don’t dare to wear them because I feel it might look like a show-off,” Prabhas concluded, drawing cheers from fans.
